AUBURN — A free Community Recycle Day Drive-Thru event is set for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 15, at 40 Stanley St., behind Stratham Tire.
Local community partners aim to offer the community a convenient and free way to recycle items such as documents to be shredded, tires for recycling, and new or gently used and clean reusable resources (art supplies, craft materials, school and business supplies, home furnishings, sports equipment) with the SHAREcenter, a food drive to benefit Kaydenz Kitchen, according to a news release from Betsy Sibley at Community Credit Union, which is hosting the event.
Kommunity Kritters will be collecting cat litter, cat food, cat treats and cat toys, and North Coast Services will be collecting and recycling electronic devices such as TVs, monitors, computers, laptops and printers. There will also be a cans and bottle drive, where 100% of proceeds will go to benefit the SHAREcenter.
This event has run in Auburn since 2009.
