We have often heard “no one is above the law.” Watching a former president of the United States get indicted and charged is certainly proof of that.
It’s encouraging to see our judicial system do what it’s supposed to do. Now someone needs to make sure that the justices of our Supreme Court know that they have to be accountable also.
History shows us there will always be corruption and abuse of power without accountability. Supreme Court justices do not get a different set of rules than the rest of us. They are no better than anyone else, and they are certainly not above the law.
Respect is a two-way street. If they want our respect they need to show us some respect by not thinking they are above the law and have no need to answer to anyone.
