I recently learned that the Lewiston City Council is considering cutting the budget and hours of our amazing public library.

The Lewiston Public Library is arguably the most important cultural, educational and civic institution in our community. It is a vibrant place of inquiry, research, innovation and learning for all.

I strongly urge council members to preserve the library’s budget and hours.
