LEWISTON — Central Maine Healthcare paid tribute during National Volunteer Week, April 16-22, to those who donate their time and talents to provide services to Central Maine Medical Center, Bridgton Hospital, Rumford Hospital and CMH’s practices.
Volunteers were treated to lunch at the hospital and thanked for their tireless efforts. In 2022, Central Maine Healthcare volunteers contributed more than 9,714 hours to operations.

This included:
83 patient escorts
1,835 patient discharges
1,604 lab runs
1,255 projects
475 flower deliveries
1,966 internal deliveries
YMCA volunteers contributed a total of 767 hours to the gym at CMMC

“Our volunteers are a valued part of the CMH team,” Dick Kropp, senior vice president and chief people officer at Central Maine Healthcare, said. “They have many choices of places to spend their time, and they choose to work side-by-side with us every day.
