Memorial Day services to honor those who died in all wars while serving in the armed forces will be held Monday in Kingfield, Farmington, Chesterville and Weld.

Norton-Wuori American Legion Post 61 will conduct a ceremony at 9 a.m. in Kingfield, hosted by Post Commander Roger Meldrum. It will feature the Table Set for One, a Battlefield Cross, special guest speakers and a full firing squad to salute the fallen.

In Farmington, a brief service will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the World War I Memorial Arch, North Main Street. Legionnaires and the public will proceed to Meetinghouse Park, across from the courthouse. At 10 a.m. the service there will include comments from Roderick-Crosby American Legion Post 28 Commander Stephan Bunker and placement of wreaths at the Civil War, World War II and Modern Wars memorials in the park.

At 10:30 a.m. Legion officers will place a wreath at the post on the corner of High and Middle streets.

In Chesterville, residents and friends will walk from the Dave Archer Town Office, 409 Dutch Gap Road to the Meeting House on Borough Road at 10 a.m. for a tribute to those who have died while serving in the United States military. A moment of silence will take place at 10:59 a.m., followed by the church bell ringing at 11 a.m.

In Weld, participants will march at 1:30 p.m. from the town hall on School Street to the Weld Public Library on Route 142. Weld Historical Society President Sean Minear is organizing the program, which will be similar to those of previous years.
