RAYMOND — Hawthorne Community Association is scheduled to host a silent auction fundraiser from 5-7 pm. Saturday, June 3, at Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Boyhood Home, 40 Hawthorne Road.
Proceeds will benefit repairs to structural deficiencies in the historic house’s roof, exterior siding and interior walls, according to a news release from Abel Bates with the association.
Among the dozens of items to be auctioned will be a two-night stay at The Inn at Ocean’s Edge, Penobscot Bay; a five-course meal at Migis Lodge; four Portland Sea Dogs tickets; two tickets to “Titanic” at the Maine State Theatre; Pontoon Boat Rental at Moose Landing; and a handcrafted Christmas reindeer and wreath.
The silent auction will also feature a 50-50 raffle, a complimentary appetizer-buffet, beer and wine. Music will be provided by local artist Dana Reed, known as Capt’n Uke.
