AUBURN — McG United Soccer Academy is excited to again bring back the Elite Soccer Academy session for this summer. This group is made up of 12 to 16-year-old players who wish to prepare for the upcoming middle and high school seasons. It teaches and promotes ball control, small-sided skills, and games ending the day with a full-field match.
This year’s coaches are again going to be Dan Gish and Abdijabar Hersi. Gish is the varsity boys soccer coach at Lewiston High School and has compiled a three-year record of 36-4-1. Coach Gish was a twenty-year assistant coach for the Blue Devils before becoming the head coach. Coach Hersi is currently the assistant coach at Central Maine Community College and head coach of Wahad FC of the United Premier Soccer League, a semi-professional developmental league. Abdijabar was also a valuable assistant coach at Lewiston High School
The McG United Soccer Academy will take place July 24-28 at the LAYSA Fields in Auburn.
There is a discount for players who register by July 1st.
