AUBURN — Area athletes helped the Maine Thunder to win Auburn’s inaugural Big Hits Classic softball tournament.

Maine Thunder won the tournament of eight teams from Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

The Thunder are coached by Scott Berube and Dennis Carter. Area athletes included Kylee Lebrun of Edward Little, Angelina Valiente of Lewiston High School, and Sophie St. Pierre of Buckfield High School.

Maine Thunder went 5-0 in the tourney winning the championship game against the Rage of Salisbury, Massachusetts.
