FARMINGTON — The UMF Art Gallery kicks off the new academic year with a celebration of the visually and conceptually

diverse artistic voices of the art faculty at the University of Maine at Farmington. “JUXTAPOSE: the UMF Art Faculty Exhibition,” will be featured on campus from Sept. 7 to Oct. 8 at the gallery at 246 Main St., behind the Admissions Office.
A public reception will be held Sept. 7 from 4-7 p.m. All events are free and open to the public, according to a news release from the gallery.
Art faculty in the exhibition include Ann Bartges with experimental digital media, minimalist multimedia artist Tom Jessen, Dawn Nye with experimental film, painter Elizabeth Oblbert, sculptor Jesse Potts and painter/sculptor Katrazyna Randall.
