NORWAY — The Friends of Norway Memorial Library will sell used books on Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Gingerbread House, 500 Main Street in Norway. This sale is held outside and is weather-dependent.
At this final sale of the summer, shoppers may purchase books as priced: .50 for children’s, $1 for paperback, or $2 for hardcover, or fill a bag for $2.
The Friends of Norway Memorial Library are volunteers whose work supports and enhances the programs and services of the Norway Memorial Library. Their annual membership drive began in June. This year’s theme is “The many ways we continue to grow.” Those who join or renew before August 18, 2023, will be entered into a drawing to win a gift certificate to one of three Maine businesses, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Smedberg’s Farm in Oxford, or Pineland Farms in New Gloucester. To join, visit the library and request a Friends of the Library membership form.
Book sale shoppers park in the public lot on Water Street and use the footbridge to the Gingerbread House. There is no parking available in the Gingerbread House driveway.
