MEXICO — Oxford Federal Credit Union was recently named as one of the 2023 ‘Best Places to Work in Maine’. The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, Best Companies Group, and BridgeTower Media.
This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Maine, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process then analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings. The 2023 Best Places to Work in Maine list is made up of over 100 companies. The final rankings will be announced at the awards program in October.
According to Tammy Daigle, Sr. VP of HR/Marketing, Oxford FCU first learned about the program at the Maine HR Convention in 2007. They decided to participate and OFCU was named a ‘Best Places to Work in Maine’ that year. “In 2013, we committed to participating every other year to give our employees the opportunity to confidentially share feedback through the program’s survey and have been thrilled to be named a ‘Best Place’ each time,” said Daigle.
OFCU CEO Joann Bisson shared, “In our roles as leaders, we know it is our responsibility to foster a collaborative and comfortable work environment where each individual is recognized and accepted for who they are. We also know that people need the friendship of peers, and we encourage workplace comradery. We are proud of the relationships that our team has cultivated with each other, our membership, and our community, as they are factors in making OFCU a ‘Best Place to Work’.”
