BRIDGTON — The Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club is hosting an event at the Mountain Range Golf Driving Range on Thursday, August 31 from 5 to 7 p.m.
“If you are interested in learning more about Rotary, or if you would like to hit some golf balls, join us,” remarked John Eliassen, President of the local Rotary Club. “The event is being held to encourage folks to play in our Golf Tournament on September 16 at the Bridgton Highlands Country Club. But even if you are not a golfer, stop by to visit for a few minutes or a couple of hours. There will be buckets of balls and snacks.”
Every fifth Thursday (there are usually 4 each year), the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club hosts a social event. This month, the club is hosting a “shot” event at the Mountain Range Golf Driving Range, 146 Harrison Road in Bridgton. “Balls and snacks are on us,” said Lisa Ryan, who is the Chair of the Golf Committee. “We are always looking for a few more golfers, so if you can make up a team of four or are a single, you’re welcome to play in the tournament.” For more information about the Golf Tournament or to register to play, go to the website https://lakeregionrotary.com or email Lisa at LakeRegionRotary@gmail.com.
The Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club meets on the second, third, and fourth Thursday mornings of each month at 7:30 a.m. at Stella’s on the Square, 6 N. High Street, Bridgton. For information about speakers and other programs, check out the Calendar at their website. Meetings are at no cost, and coffee is served.
