Another election cycle is upon us; who am I going to vote for?
Does it even really matter? Should I even bother at all? It’s not like they listen.
Some tough things to ponder while we sit at the table, sipping our coffee and trying to figure out how we are going to make X amount of income cover Y amount of bills and hope to God nothing happens to create an additional expense.
It can be overwhelming to think of all the issues going on when we are just trying to keep our own homes functioning, which is why we elect individuals to address the issues impacting our community: homelessness, overdoses, housing concerns, crime, education — all things we trust in those we elect to take care of for the betterment of the entire community.Every single person’s vote matters. I would never tell anyone who to vote for, but I will say this: People should keep in mind those who are out there working in the community, helping when they are not making a profit from it.
People should think of those who do the things they do without a hidden agenda, without using their position as a stepping stone to a higher office. There are many out there working to better our entire community and not just their corner of it.
