University of Southern Maine’s Eleanor Folsom and Haley-Jane Tuplin joined teammate Jenessa Foster as Little East Conference weekly field hockey award winners Monday.
Folsom, a Winthrop grad, was named the LEC’s Goalkeeper of the Week after going 2-1 with a .737 save percentage across three contests for the Huskies last week. She made five saves in a loss to Bates, then made five more in a 2-0 shutout win over St. Joe’s. She capped off her week with four more saves in a 4-1 win over Framingham State.
Tuplin, a freshman from Lisbon, was selected as the conference’s Rookie of the Week. She scored a goal in both wins for the Huskies last week, including her first career collegiate goal in the win over St. Joes.
Foster, a Maine Central Institute graduate from Pittsfield, was picked by the conference as the Defensive Player of the Week.
BATES’ FEMIA GARNERS NESCAC HONOR: A big week offensively earned Bates College junior Maria Femia a New England Small College Athletic Conference weekly award Monday.
Femia was tabbed NESCAC’s Player of the Week based off her five-goal performance across three games last week.
She started off the Bobcats’ season with two goals and an assist in the win over USM, added a goal in win against Thomas and tallied two more goals in a road win at rival Bowdoin.

UMF PAIR EARN AWARDS: After teaming up to cap off a two-win week for the University of Maine at Farmington men’s soccer team, Christian Beliveau and Mohamed Adow both received North Atlantic Conference weekly awards Monday.
Beliveau, an Edward Little grad, was named the NAC Player of the Week, while Adow, a freshman and a fellow Edward Little grad, was selected as the conference’s Rookie of the Week.
Beliveau scored the eventual game-winning goal in a win over UMaine-Presque Isle, then assisted on Adow’s goal in a 2-1 victory over Maine Maritime Academy.
Adow picked up an assist in the 5-1 win over UMPI, and he scored the Beavers’ first goal in the narrow win over MMA.
