On the left, we have a president who is clearly edging into senility. More than once he has lost his train of thought in public and stumbled and fallen on other occasions.
On top of that, the financial shenanigans of his son from five or six years ago, while his father was vice president, are attracting much attention from the (Republican-led) Congress.
On the right, we have a former president who was impeached twice by the (Democrat-led) Congress, who has bragged about his affairs, among other things, and is under numerous indictments at this time.
Meanwhile, it seems that the majority of the media these days is telling us that a Joe Biden vs. Donald Trump rematch for the presidency next year is inevitable.
All of which begs the question: Is this the best we have to offer from either side? Shirley, we can do better than this.
