FARMINGTON — Kali Judkins’ fourth-quarter goal pushed Mt. Blue past Edward Little 2-1 in a KVAC field hockey game Thursday.

Judkins’ first goal gave the Cougars (5-0) the initial lead early in the first quarter, but Leah Thibodeau answered for the Red Eddies (3-3) eight minutes later. Both of Judkins’ goals came off corners, with Summer Sawyer assisting each time. Thibodeau’s goal was also scored off a corner.

Kasey Smith made three saves for the Red Eddies, who had to survive 17 penalty corners by Mt. Blue. Gwen Lesperance made two saves for the Cougars.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 11, BOOTHBAY 1: The Phoenix (5-1) had 13 different players factor into goals in a home win over the Seahawks (0-5) in Jay.

Olivia Mastine and Aaylah Herrera each scored two goals, while Miley Fournier and Leah Burgess each racked up multiple assists, with three and two, respectively.

Maddie Grimaldi, Mary Hamblin, Aubrey Kachnovich, Adell Pease, Ryanna Taylor, Samantha Martin and Amelia Holland also scored for Spruce Mountain. Avery Bessey, Anna Plourde, Mastine, Grimaldi and Pease all contributed an assist.

Mallory Clark and Kyleigh Marcotte each made two saves for the Phoenix, with Clark playing the first half and Marcotte the second.

Kari Blake scored off an assist from Ariel Alamo to get Boothbay on the board. Cass Amaral made 33 saves.

OXFORD HILLS 2, BRUNSWICK 1, OT: Lily Hammond assisted on Brynn Bean’s second-quarter goal before tucking home the overtime winner as the Vikings (1-3-1) edged the Dragons (1-5) in Brunswick.

Gabby Wright made two saves for Oxford Hills.

Sydney Drake scored for Brunswick with an assist from Felicity Jackson.

LEWISTON 4, BANGOR 1: Olivia Crowley and Gabby Thomas each tallied a goal and an assist as the Blue Devils (4-2) beat the Rams (0-5) in Lewiston.

Savannah Connor-Schade and Lauren Cote also scored for Lewiston, and Fiona Landry and Bella Dube earned assists. Sarah Mack made two saves.

Payton Plaurd scored a second-half goal for Bangor, and Lydia Lynch stopped 10 shots.

CARRABEC 1, TELSTAR 1, 2 OTs: Anna Canalas scored for the Cobras in a game that ended in a draw in Bethel.

LAKE REGION 5, ST. DOMINIC 0: Margot Tremblay led the Lakers (4-3-1) with three goals and an assist as they raced past the Saints (3-3-1) in Naples.

Kayleigh Goodwin chipped in with a goal and an assist, and Hailey Brewer also scored. Jordan Blanton earned the shutout with four saves.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2: Hannah Bolduc, Ali Portas, Izzy Morelli each scored for the Patriots (3-4) in a WMC win over the Raiders (2-5) in Gray.

Abby Joyce and Laney Farrar added assists for Gray-New Gloucester, with Joyce making five saves in goal.

Grace Audette and Emily Chaine scored second-half goals for Fryeburg, with Eden True providing an assist. Maya Mahan made one save.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 4, LEAVITT 0: Casey Duncan netted a pair of goals and the Eagles (5-0-1) remained unbeaten with a road win over the Hornets (1-6) in Turner.

EJ Hunt and Pablo Iglesias Martin also scored, and Lucas Houghton provided an assist.

Marcello Endrizzi secured the shutout with three saves for Lincoln Academy. Vanya Bezhenar made 11 saves for Leavitt, and Alex Corey added five more.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Two second-half goals by Hugo Sala Marseca helped the Raiders (4-3) pull away from the Patriots (3-3) at Fryeburg.

Nivaldo Lucato de Souza Neto and Palaz Diego Pallazolli scored to stake Fryeburg to a 2-1 lead at halftime. Raiders keeper Aidan Clement recorded seven saves.

Noah Hebert was the goal scorer for Gray-New Gloucester, and Caden Ouellette stopped 10 shots.

RICHMOND 3, BUCKFIELD 2: Hunter Mason scored twice in the Bobcats (4-1) victory against the Bucks (4-1) in Buckfield.

Kenny Mechamm also scored and Finn Foster picked up an assist. David Edwards made six saves in the win.

Brayden Jack and Krosby Harvey scored first-half goals for Buckfield. Cayden Durgin made eight saves in the loss.

GREELY 4, POLAND 0: Bez Mendelsohn scored two goals and Aaron Park added a goal and an assist as the Rangers (4-1-1) beat the Knights (3-3-1) in Poland.

Connor Skillin also scored.

Landon Dominski made two saves for the shutout, while Poland’s Sam Paladino stopped nine shots.

VOLLEYBALL
LEWISTON 3, MARANACOOK 0: Ava Marquis was 26 for 26 in serving in the Blue Devils’ (2-3) three-set victory over the Black Bears (2-3), 25-9, 25-13, 25-17.

Marquis served up 16 straight points to close out the first set. She also finished with six aces in the match.

Kenzie Garcia had four kills, four digs and two blocks in the win. Kaitlyn Shannon notched 11 kills, three aces and six digs. Mika Torres had nine assists and a block.

In the junior varsity matchup, Lewiston won 25-10, 25-22.
