The Open Book Players plans to present a children’s production of “Frantic Frogs and Other Frankly Fractured Folktales” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at Oak Hill High School, 56 School Road, in Wales.
The Open Book Players is the resident community theatre company for Johnson Hall in Gardiner, but this venue is closed for restoration and reparation work.
The play is a compilation of satirical stories based on well-known tales but with a new twist, that will bring snickers, chuckles, and belly laughs from the audience.
The cast is comprised of young performers from age 8 through 14 and include Jocelyn Davis, Bree Davis, and Addison Lilly from Litchfield, Harper Schneider and Simon Golob of Sabattus, and Rui Webster of Oakland.
The production is directed by Lucy Rioux and assisted by Cindy Turcotte.
Tickets cost $5 for students and $10 for general admission and will be sold at the door.
