WEST PARIS — We’re beginning to feel a little chill in the air, which often gets us moving a little closer together. Join us as we gather on Sundays at 9 a.m. for informative and inspiring worship services. Music is performed by Tom Coolidge. Refreshments will follow the service. All are welcome.
Here are the details for the first two worship services in October. More will be publicized soon for October 15 (Maryli Tiemann), October 22 (Joan Beal), and October 29 (The Rev. Scott Campbell).
October 1, Goodwill Fellowship, led by the group’s president, Sandra Poland, and members of Goodwill Fellowship. This is a special service that will tell the story of this group, which was founded in 1906 when the First Universalist Church first opened its doors. A slide show will be incorporated into the service that includes today’s group as well as historical information and photos.
October 8, How We Care for Each Other, led by Mike Miclon. Mike will be discussing the importance of taking care of one another in life, family, and business. He will explore the importance of truly living the golden rule of treating others the way you wish to be treated and how that impacts you and those around you. Many may know Mike from his time operating the Oddfellow Theater in his hometown of Buckfield. He is the Executive/Artistic Director of Johnson Hall in Gardiner, where he produces over 50 performances annually, as well as waterfront concerts and Johnson Hall’s artist in the schools program. Mike is also a filmmaker, and as an entertainer, he has built an international reputation that has brought him to the finest theaters in the US and Europe.
