WALES — Madalyn Sikora scored her second goal of the game early in the fourth quarter, lifting the Oak Hill field hockey team to a 2-1 victory over Boothbay on Monday.
Izzy Whitaker assisted on the game-winning goal. Emma Bourgoin provided an assist on Sikora’s first goal 50 seconds into the game.
Ariel Alamo scored off an assist by Lily Nein on a penalty corner with no time remaining in the first half for the Seahawks (2-7).
Sierra Lane stopped 12 of 13 shots for Raiders (4-5-1), while Cass Amaral made 13 saves for Boothbay.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/NYA 3, FRYEBURG 3: Grace Porcaro had a pair of fourth-quarter goals, one on a penalty stroke and the tying goal on a pass from Elise Dunn, as Fryeburg Academy (1-6-1) rallied to secure a tie with the visiting Patriots (4-4-1)
Ella Dean opened the scoring for the Raiders with an unassisted goal in the second quarter.
Emma Bowden had a goal and assist for GNG/NYA, while Kenlie Nadeau and Greta Tod added goals.
Rayna Wales recorded seven saves for the Raiders, while Samantha Poulin stopped 16 shots for the Patriots.
LISBON 2, TELSTAR 0: Riley Hoyle and Melanie Simmons each scored goals to lift the Greyhounds (2-6-1) over the Rebels (1-10) in a Mountain Valley Conference game in Lisbon.
Riley Hoyle had an assist for Lisbon, which snapped a five-game losing skid.
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Olivia Mastine scored a pair of third-quarter goals to help the Phoenix (8-1) put away the Falcons (3-6) in Jay.
Adell Pease and Maddie Grimaldi scored goals in the first half to put Spruce Mountain up 2-0 at halftime. Mastine two goals doubled that advantage in the third, with Aubrey Kachnovich assisting on the first goal and Samantha Martin tallying the helper on the second. Aaylah Herrera rounded out the scoring in the fourth, scoring off an assist by Amelia Holland. Miley Fournier assisted on Pease’s opening goal.
Brooke Brown made 19 saves in net for Mountain Valley. Mallory Clark stopped three shots across the first three quarters for the Phoenix, and Kyleigh Marcotte came on for the fourth and finished off the shutout.
VOLLEYBALL
WINDHAM 3, LEWISTON 1: The Blue Devils (3-6) even the match after two sets, but the Eagles (3-7) won the next two to claim victory in Windham.
Joe Sibley tallied six aces, four kills and 18 assists for Windham, and Sydney Harmon contributed five kills, three aces and two digs.
Lewiston’s Holland Clyburn finished with four aces, three kills and three digs, while Isabella Enos had five digs, four aces and two kills and Mika Torres had 12 assists.
GIRLS SOCCER
MARANACOOK 8, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Natalie Mohlar led a six-goal second-half onslaught as the Black Bears (10-0) defeated the Phoenix (0-10) in Jay.
Mia Chicoine and Phoebe Bell each scored to give Maranacook a 2-0 lead at halftime. Mohlar scored twice in the second half, and the Black Bears also got goals from Kolby Webb, Hope Webb, Anna Clauson and Emerson Davis.
Spruce Mountain goalie Tyoaka Hodgkin made 12 saves.
