Every now and then, there have been public-spirited individuals who step up and serve their community at a level far beyond the norm.
Ward 5 has had the good fortune of having Councilor Leroy Walker representing the New Auburn neighborhood for more than a decade.
There is not much that goes on in Auburn that Leroy’s constituents don’t see Councilor Walker very involved in. He is there and making his presence known — by actions, far beyond words.
Hopefully, Ward 5 voters will once again return Leroy Walker for another term on the Auburn City Council.
