Drive Out Cancer thanks you

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Norway Country Club Ladies Golf Association, we say ‘Thank you’ to the generous individuals and businesses in the communities of Western Maine. Recently we presented a check for over $18,500 to the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine, the money raised in the 10th Annual Drive Out Cancer Golf Tournament, Silent Auction, and Basket Raffle.

A huge thank you also goes to Randy Blouin and Norway Country Club for running and hosting the golf tournament, Eugene Pierotti and his crew for preparing the golf course, and Kerry Stevens for the challenging contests by the practice green. Thirteen teams played in the tournament and enjoyed a delicious luncheon prepared by the staff at Norway Country Club. Afterward, prizes were handed out and winners of the silent auction and basket raffle were announced.

The tournament was a huge success! Thank you to all who contributed in so many ways.
