Bell ringers
NORWAY — The 2023 English Hand Bell Choir, of the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main Street, Norway, is actively recruiting new members. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. Ringers do need some ability to read music and rhythms. Weekly rehearsals will start in October and continue until December performances. No church affiliations are required. All are welcome!
For over 18 years, the Bell Choir, composed of church and community members, has presented joyful seasonal/sacred concerts. After a pandemic pause, the tradition continues this year. Sale
NORWAY — Looking for some new-to-you winter clothes, household items, or linens at fantastic prices? Come to the fall rummage sale at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Norway on Saturday, October 28 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The one-dollar bag sale begins at 11 a.m. (Please bring your own bags.)
In addition to clothes for the whole family, there will be at least two rooms full of household items, where you can find just what you have been looking for.
The very popular “Pay by Donation” system will be used for this sale for most items. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the free community Thanksgiving dinner.
St. Catherine of Sienna Church is located at 32 Paris Street in Norway. There is ample parking behind the church on Beal Street. The church is equipped with a lift for easy access to the lower level where the sale will be held.

WATERFORD — The North Waterford Congregational Church has opened its puzzle library once again. We are there every Monday from 1-3 p.m. We have over 300 puzzles to lend. Borrow as many as you want, keep them as long as you need.
Halloween
LOVELL — Drive-up Trick or Treat! October 29 from 3-5 p.m. in the Lovell United Church of Christ parking lot and along Rte. 5. There will also be a photo booth at LUCC! All are welcome. 13+ business locations have signed up, along with many residential stops. Watch for posters around town with more information. Sponsored by the Lovell United Church of Christ Board of Christian Education.
There will be a Fall Bake Sale at the Lovell United Church of Christ, 1174 Main Street in Lovell, on Saturday, October 21 from 9-12, featuring assorted Fall treats for sale: pies, cakes, cookies, pumpkin bread, bars and much more! All proceeds benefit the work of the Missions Committee to fill Christmas baskets for families in our community.
