BETHEL — Telstar Middle School Special Education Teacher Dee Robinson won $1,000 from radio station 99. 9 – “The Wolf.”

Robinson said the money will be deposited into a checking account that she and her students have opened for their Essential Skills program. She said her students will have a say in how they use the money.

“We will buy some cooking equipment like a griddle. We will also be buying aprons for each of the students to wear when we cook. We will be using some of the money to help buy ingredients for things we cook.

“We go out into the community to volunteer, and do other activities and some of the money will go toward that,” said Robinson.
