DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Auburn United Methodist Church at 439 Park Ave. in Auburn will hold its monthly bean supper Saturday at 5 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-12 and free for children under 5.
The menu is baked beans, casseroles, hot dogs, coleslaw, bread, beverages, and homemade pies.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: A public supper featuring smothered beef and roast turkey will be served Saturday from 4:30-6 p.m. at the West Bowdoin Parish Hall, 54 West Road in Bowdoin. The price is $12 for adults, $6 for children 12 and younger, and free for preschool age.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The West Auburn Congregational Church at 811 West Auburn Road in Auburn will host a Harvest Supper on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, from 4:30-6 p.m.
The menu is turkey, ham, potatoes, squash, carrots, peas, corn, rolls, beverage and dessert. Meals to go will also be offered.
The price is $10 for those 13 and older, $5 for ages 3 to 12, and free for children younger than 3. To show our appreciation for those in the service and all veterans, the cost is $7. — Jenny, no town

ANSWER: If you have no takers, perhaps an activities director at an assisted living facility, an art class, or an antique dealer may be interested. Let me know if you need more assistance finding a home for this collection of treasures. I agree with you, don’t send it to be recycled!
