A haul of 75 gallons of high grade alcohol was made on the Poland Spring road yesterday afternoon, by Deputies Leveque, Maloney and Dobbins of the Sheriff’s department. The seizure came about as result of a tip received at the Sheriff’s office concerning the peculiar actions of a party of motorists on the Poland Spring Road late Wednesday night.

The booze was found buried in the leaves and underbrush on the left hand side of the road about 25 feet from the detour swinging to the left, a short distance from the entrance to the Poland Spring House Road.
