SABATTUS — A local man and woman were arrested Wednesday after police said a three-month investigation led them to 350 grams of prepackaged methamphetamine and a firearm.
Arrested were Kristy L. Dube, 32, and Nicholas D. Hoyt, 39. Each was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs. Dube was also charged with violating conditions of release from an earlier criminal matter.
Sabattus police, along with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, conducted a warrant search at 26 Ball Park Road, a two-story home from where police said the pair had been running a meth trafficking operation.
Agents said the street value of the drugs seized was estimated at $35,000.
Both suspects were taken to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn where Hoyt was being held on $15,000 bail and Dube was held without bail due to the charge of violating release.
