It’s a sad and pathetic day when the citizens of Lewiston are allowing two elected officials to control by intimidation and force the rest of the City Council.

When they can do whatever they want without consequences — regardless of established laws. If they say it’s okay, then I suppose it is.

I always thought we were in a democracy, but I guess I was wrong.

Luckily we have an election next month and, hopefully, the constituents of both Rick LaChapelle and Lee Clement find the strength and wisdom to replace them with individuals who work for the betterment of all, not just themselves and their initiatives.
