Debra J. Boyd
LEWISTON – Debra Jane (Pulsifer) Boyd, 69, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Oct. 17, 2023.
Debra was born on May 13, 1954, the daughter of Carl P. and Madelyn E. Ames Pulsifer. She grew up in Poland, attending Poland and Gray/New Gloucester schools.
She was married to the love of her life Daniel B. Boyd for 47 years.
She was a passionate and loving preschool teacher known to all as “Miss Debbie” for 33 years. She enjoyed nurturing and teaching hundreds of children for multiple generations including all five of her grandchildren and other family members. She enjoyed keeping in touch with all of her former students over the years and hearing of all their accomplishments. Her family time was very important to her. She loved hosting family gatherings, camping, baking, traveling and shopping. She was the happiest when she spent time with her children and grandchildren who she shared many adventures with. She cherished the memories, moments and passing down traditions.
She is survived by her husband Daniel; sister Sandra A. Robbins and husband Chris; her son Jason and wife Jennifer; daughter Sarah; and five grandchildren, Emma, Daniel, Christopher, Madelyn and Hazel; as well as her very close nieces, Heather Edwards and Amy Vallee and nephew Nate Robbins.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanic Falls.
