To the Editor:
The Bethel Outing Club Annual Ski Sale takes place Friday, Oct. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9 to Noon at Gould Academy Field House. Vendors will have on sale Nordic and Alpine skis, boots, poles, and bindings, as well as helmets and other gear such as snowshoes. Accessories for multiple winter sports include gloves, neckies, and socks.
You can purchase myriad items in the used gear section or sell your serviceable goods. Last year there was a large selection of outdoor clothing. Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce and True North Adventureware still have free tags for labeling the items that you hope to sell.
With the sale happening almost as you read this paper, gear can be left at the Gould Academy Field House side entrance after 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, and there is a nominal fee for tags. Sell your items at full price Friday evening, remove them if you wish, or sell them at half of that price on Saturday morning.
Please plan to pick up all your gear at the conclusion of the Bethel Outing Club Annual Ski Sale on Saturday after 12:30 p.m.; things left after 2 will be donated.
All proceeds support our Bethel Outing Club youth programming. For example, your purchase at the sale may enable the loan of Nordic equipment to a child and foster a lifelong enthusiasm for an outdoor winter sport.
