LIVERMORE FALLS — Police have received several reports of packages and items taken off people’s porches downtown over the past few days, acting Police Chief Michael Adcock said Monday.
He warned residents to be cautious and to secure any valuable property, and for neighbors to keep an eye on property if the owners are not home.
Now is the season that a lot of packages will be delivered, Adcock said. “Times are tough. People are out there stealing other people’s property.”
He asked people to report any suspicious actions to the Livermore Falls Police Department at 207-897-3424.
Complaints have been received from residents on several streets, including Richardson Avenue, Main, Prospect and Monroe streets.
He also asks people to lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight and secured.
