DEAR SUN SPOTS: The First Congregational Church of South Paris, 17 E. Main St. will hold its annual Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. Popovers will be served from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Our food tables will be filled with great baked goods including cookies, pies and breads, plus baked beans, homemade vanilla, and interesting other types of homemade items. The cheese wheel is waiting to be sliced, the chocolates are boxed. Wreaths and Christmas baskets will be ready. Our crafts table will be filled with some regular and some new items, a specially designed and priced for kids jewelry table for children to shop for the special women in their lives: moms, grandmothers, teachers, etc. The jewelry is all boxed and ready for wrapping. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., after you have shopped, enjoy a cup of fish chowder or chicken soup, dessert included. Last year our wreaths sold out, so get here early. DEAR SUN SPOTS: Come one, come all! The Salvation Army will hold a toy drive at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the Auburn Mall. Bring an unwrapped toy to put under the tree. Stop by and join us for Christmas carols. Point of contact will be any Red Hat lady you see by the tree. They are helping to sponsor the toy drive.
