Voting to reelect Lewiston Mayor Carl Sheline is a must.

He listens to the people of Lewiston. He seeks solutions not revolutions.

I will share the following example. When I met him, I had a conversation about Lewiston seniors not being represented in Lewiston.

Being a 30-year member of AARP and attending monthly meetings at The Coffee Shop at the Bates Mill (before it closed), we heard about programs and grants about other cities to be Age Friendly. Mayor Sheline listened, and he started to form an Age Friendly Committee.

He listens to the needs and demands from seniors, such as that they wanted the Martel School to become senior housing. After many battles of words with the “gang of four” it was finally approved.

I hope residents vote; their vote is very important for a brighter future.
