HARTFORD – Marshall W. Hinkley, 81, a resident of Hartford, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 29, 1942, in Lewiston, the son of Paul and Aller (Lee) Hinkley. Marshall attended school in Turner. On Sept. 28, 1962, in Turner he married Gloria Wyman. Marshall worked as a farmer, woodsman, and carpenter, and later retired from Zampell Refactories in Lewiston. Marshall was an avid reader, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to camp at Moosehead, and watching football and NASCAR. But above all else he loved spending time with his family. He was a man of few words but had a loving heart. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Hinkley of Hartford, sons, Dennis Hinkley and wife Liz of Buckfield, and Ronald Hinkley of Monmouth, daughters, Lori ann Powell of Monmouth, and Tammy Mathieu and husband David of Lewiston, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
