We see what is happening in Gaza. Any country that depends on another country’s goodwill (Avangrid, Spanish owner of Central Maine Power) for power is very vulnerable to losing it.

Yes, we need to become independent of other countries for fuel to fill our energy needs, and we are working (slowly) toward that.

“Politicians” will not be in the day-to-day operation. I expect many people, mostly Mainers who do that now, will remain in place.

Avangrid is sure spending a lot of our high-priced electricity payments to convince us otherwise.

I hope people think carefully when they vote on Question 3 on Nov. 7.
