AUBURN — Robert “Bob” Violette, 76, shared wisdom and life lessons while coaching in a local youth bowling league, impacting the lives of the children who he coached, according to his obituary. He also participated in two different bowling leagues.

The recent retiree traveled to many parts of the world while serving in the U.S. Navy and then saw much of the country while working as a truck driver, according to his obituary. He was known as man with integrity, love and kindness, who could make people smile. He leaves behind three sons and six grandchildren.

Bob was with his wife, Lucy Violette, at Just-In-Time Recreation on Oct. 25.

His funeral service, along with his wife’s, is scheduled for Tuesday at 10 a.m. at East Auburn Baptist Church. A private family committal will follow the service. Instead of flowers, the family is requesting donations for The Bob and Lucy Violette Bowling Memorial Fund in care of the Law Office of Dionne & Couturier of Lewiston.

The funerals for Thomas Ryan Conrad, Ronald Morin, Tricia Asselin, Billy Brackett, Peyton Brewer-Ross, Michael Deslauriers Jr. and Arthur Strout have already taken place.
