WOODSTOCK — Libby Eldred, of Woodstock, has been hired to be the new Deputy Town Clerk. She started Sept. 25.
“I am very pleased to have Libby here.” Town Manager Vern Maxfield said, “I think she’s a wonderful follow-up to Tonia.”
Tonia Lewis had been Woodstock Town Clerk for two and a half years.
The regular town office hours have been abbreviated with just Maxfield in the office. They will return to regular hours soon, said Eldred and Maxfield.
Eldred grew up in South Paris and lives currently in Woodstock with her husband, Jon and two children, Ian, 12, and Sydney, 4.
Andrea Stubbs, of Norway Town Office, came to Woodstock to help Eldred with training.
