Derek Haskell holds his son, Dash, as he checks an autographed baseball bat Friday at the Auburn Senior Community Center at Pettengill Park in Auburn. Haskell and other volunteers were preparing for Saturday’s daylong Lewiston Strong Memorial Benefit Softball Tournament. While some were getting the fields ready at Randall Road Complex in Lewiston and Pettengill Park in Auburn, others were arranging items on tables for a benefit raffle where dozens of items donated by local citizens, businesses and sports celebrities will be up for grabs. All proceeds will go to the victims’ families and those who were injured in the Oct. 25 mass shooting in Lewiston. Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal
