(interview with Beverly Shaw)
Performing on her horse, Lucky, for four years was a dream come true for 19 year old Beverly Shaw.
It was 1944 and life for Shaw became an adventure. The Roy Rogers Show came to her vicinity in Springfield, Mass., where after school she and her sister performed stunts on horseback for people. They had worked up a number of area shows calling themselves the Shaw Sisters.
Roy’s showman got suddenly sick and he had no one to replace him. Someone said, “Oh, don’t you know about the Shaw Sisters?” He sent out a scout to watch us, and hired us immediately. We started touring just like that.
The material used in Looking Back is produced exactly as it originally appeared, although misspelling and errors may be corrected.
