Chef John Pulsifer heads to the kitchen Wednesday to begin preparing for the Franco Center Holiday Pie Sale at the center in Lewiston. Pulsifer has baked pies for the past nine years at Thanksgiving time to help raise funds for the Franco Center. Pies must be ordered no later than Thursday, Nov. 16, with pick-up dates on Tuesday and Wednesday. There are 37 different pies to choose from at francocenter.org/pies. Pies can also be ordered by calling 207-783-1585. Over 80 pies have been ordered so far with tourtiere pie being the most requested. Chicken and salmon are second and third. Daryn Slover/Sun Journal
