LEWISTON – Paul Harvey James of Lewiston passed away Sunday Nov. 5, 2023 after a long illness which he fought so bravely.

Paul was born in Lewiston on Jan. 6, 1960. He was the son of Alfred and Lucienne James. He was one of seven children. His brother Bertrand James is the only survivor. He was predeceased by his brothers Roger, Lucien, and sisters Jaqueline Poussard, Priscilla Lessard, and Claudette Chick.

His family that was there for him during his long illness were the children of Jaqueline Poussard, Harvey Poussard, Dan Poussard, Diane Poussard, and Sandy Brooks and their families.

Paul was a happy go lucky guy with a great personality, someone who could always make you laugh. He loved local sports, and was always talking about the Patriots or the Bruins. In his younger years, enjoyed playing men’s softball in L/A area.

Paul was a painter by trade and was very good at it. He kept painting until he could not at the end.

He will be greatly missed.

There will be a celebration of life at the East Auburn Baptist Church at a date to be determined.
