The Lewiston Public Library plans to host the return of “Maine’s Mystery Maven for Delicious Divination” Roxie Zwicker from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at in Callahan Hall on the third floor at 200 Lisbon St.
Zwicker will present her interactive program, the Lost Art of Tea Leaf Reading Workshop. Participants should bring their own teacup for the free program.
They can learn the art of divination by tea leaf reading in this class. The program will cover the history and lore of this centuries-old fortune-telling technique, which originated in China and traveled along tea and spice trade routes all over the world.
Participants can explore herbs for tea leaf reading and how to create one’s own specialty blends. They can have a cup of custom-made herbal tea and see what symbols and messages their cup reveals.
Zwicker has been offering her unique ghost stories since 1994. Her company, New England Curiosities, located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, has been offering ghost tours, and special events since 2002.
Featured on “Psychic History” on the History Channel and “Destination America” on the Travel Channel, Zwicker is the author of eight books on New England’s ghost stories and folklore. She has been reading professionally for over 20 years and has been a speaker and teacher on metaphysical topics for several national conferences and gatherings.
