The LA Metro Chamber of Commerce has kicked off its annual Stuff the Bus event, a seasonal toy and clothing drive designed to bring joy to local families in need during the holiday season. The event is set to run through Monday, Dec 4.
Individuals who wish to contribute to Stuff the Bus can drop off new, unwrapped items at the LA Metro Chamber of Commerce or at any of the 27 drop-off locations — referred to as “Bus Stops” — across Lewiston and Auburn. For more information, including a list of drop-off locations, visit lametrocc.com or call 207-783-2249.
This year, Stuff the Bus is proud to have Northeast Bank as its exclusive sponsor for the second consecutive year. Bethany Belanger, senior vice president, Director of Retail Banking for Northeast Bank, expressed the bank’s excitement, stating, “Northeast Bank is excited to sponsor Stuff the Bus for a second year. We encourage those donating to stop by one of our seven locations in Maine with items. This is a great event to light up the holiday season for local families, community members, and pets in need.”
In addition to Northeast Bank, Stuff the Bus has announced that Target is its official Retail Partner for the second year running. Individuals looking to contribute can now easily find and purchase items needed by the families and individuals served by its nonprofit partners through the Target Registry. The registry, along with information about bus stop/drop-off locations and nonprofit partners, can be found on the event website.
