AUBURN — Western Maine Transportation Services is updating its 2018 Regional Public Transit Study with a survey.

Responses have been good, but nowhere near what was received during the 2017/18 survey, according to a news release from Craig Zurhorst with the nonprofit public transportation corporation.

This survey is for those using or needing access to public transportation in Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties, and Brunswick, Bath and Topsham.

WMTS makes good use of the information it collects. The 2018 study resulted in:

• The GreenLine Farmington-Lewiston~Auburn commuter service;
• The GreenLine Connection Rumford/Mexico/Dixfield/Peru/Canton to Livermore service;
• The BlueLine Lewiston-Brunswick and Bath commuter service;
• Re-configuring the Brunswick Explorer to the Brunswick Link; and
• Serving as the basis for other service additions and changes.
