BETHEL — A public meeting will be held December 5 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Gem Theater to inform Hanover’s enrollment in Maine’s Community Resilience Partnership. Community members are invited to a public workshop to inform Hanover’s enrollment in Maine’s Community Resilience Partnership, a program that helps communities reduce energy usage and emissions while adapting to extreme weather, flooding, and other climate impacts through direct support and grants of up to $50,000.
Center for an Ecology-Based Economy will review Maine’s Community Resilience Partnership, facilitate a discussion about current and future climate-related impacts in western Maine, and welcome your ideas for a resilient Hanover. The meeting will be held on December 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the Gem Theater (48 Cross St, Bethel) and on Zoom. Refreshments will be provided. If you would like Zoom access or a stipend (e.g. to cover costs of childcare, transportation, missing a work shift, etc.) to participate, please contact the Center for an Ecology-Based Economy at resilience@ecologybasedeconomy.org or call (207) 739-2101. Visit www.ecologybasedeconomy.org/communityresilience for more information and an optional registration.
