AUBURN — Luke Davidson scored twice including the game-winner in overtime that lifted St. Dominic to a 4-3 boys hockey win over Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble on Wednesday at Norway Savings Bank Arena.
Timothee Ouellette contributed a goal and two helpers, including one on Davidson’s game-winner, and Ben Dumais scored a first-period goal for St. Dom’s (3-0). Three of the four Saints goals came on power plays.
Tommy Casserly, Riley Daigle and Ridge Dionne each recorded an assist in the win for St. Dom’s.
Bradley Wentworth and Aydan Lockard scored and had an assist for Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble. Danny Fuller forced overtime.
Two of the Knighthawks’ three goals came on the man advantage. Zac Camp, Ben Thyng and Josh Sawyer had an assist apiece.
GORHAM 6, MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE/HYDE 4: Landon Anctil had hat trick and had an assist in the Rams’ (2-0) victory over the Eagles (0-3) in a Class B South game at Sid Watson Arena in Brunswick.
Connor Rounds, Jacob Shevets and Cole Allen also recorded goals, and Andrew Collins led Gorham with two assists. Goalie Dayton Crockett made 25 saves for the win.
Dylan Richards scored twice for the Mt. Ararat co-op. Gerek Theriault and Jameson Fowler each potted a goal.
Kai Stockford also turned aside 25 shots in the loss.
BOYS BASKETBALL
BUCKFIELD 81, VINALHAVEN 27: Brayden Monto poured in 19 points and Krosby Harvey scored 18 to pace the Bucks’ (1-1) offensive attack in their win over the Vikings (0-3) in Vinalhaven.
Harvey and Monto were two of five Buckfield players in double figures. Brayden Cousineau posted 14 points, Justin Lucas dropped in 12 and Gaven Parsons finished with 10 points.
Hunter Hamilton led Vinalhaven with 10 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
SACOPEE VALLEY 42, DIRIGO 20: Emma Boulanger led the Hawks (1-1) with 15 points, and Bridget Landry added 10 in a win over the Cougars (0-2) in Hiram.
Abigail Luczynski scored eight points for Dirigo.
TELSTAR 51, KENTS HILL 25: Karen Marshall scored 21 points and Morgan Zetts added 16 to pace the Rebels (2-0) past the Huskies (0-2) in Bethel.
Marshall made five 3-pointers. Taejyah Lego added six points for Telstar. The Rebels pulled away in the third quarter when they outscored the Huskies 20-4 to turn a 10-point lead into a 26-point lead, 43-17, heading into the fourth.
Lucy McDonald led Kents Hill with eight points.
GIRLS HOCKEY
BREWER/BANGOR/HAMPDEN/HERMON/JOHN BAPST/OLD TOWN/ORONO 10, MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE/MEDOMAK 0: Paige Oakes netted a hat trick and an assist for the Penobscot Pioneers (5-0) in a victory against the Eagles (0-6) at Brunswick.
Riley Walters made 22 saves for Mt. Ararat.
