Rotarians Deliver Winter Gear to Songo Locks School (l-r) Rotarian George Klauber; School Counselor Erika Quellette; and Rotarian Erin Nelson
BRIDGTON — In early December, Rotarians from the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club delivered needed winter outer garments to Crooked River Elementary School in Casco, Songo Locks Elementary School in Naples, and Stevens Brook Elementary School in Bridgton. Requests were for winter coats and pants, boots, gloves, and hats. In addition, through donations from others, Rotarians were able to deliver winter socks and other warm underwear.
President John Eliassen remarked, “Our club covers the communities of Bridgton, Denmark, Harrison, Naples, and Sweden, so whenever we can help students from those communities, we are happy to do so.
‘Members of the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club and our Friends always generously contribute to this worthy cause. Thank you, all, again this year for helping us help the schools distribute winter clothes on an as-needed basis. Our Club wishes all those in the Lakes Region a very happy Holiday Season.’
