Lois J. Gammon

AUBURN – Lois J. Gammon, our beautiful mom, grammie and great grammie, left us on Dec. 26, 2023 to be with the rest of her family that she has missed so much for so long. She was born in Lewiston on January 20, 1932 the daughter of Rupert and Clara Quincy Thompson. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School and married Gerald Gammon, Jr.

She had been a homemaker all of her life. She had a green thumb and was known for her gardens. She enjoyed cooking and creating traditions for her grandchildren. She also had a wonderful sense of humor. Lois was a member of the Jefferson Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter Jennie Davis, her son Craig Gammon, her daughter Sandra Favreau (Daniel); grandchildren Jaime Ranger (Jared), Kristopher Orrok (Candace Lamontagne), Tara Favreau, Sean Favreau (Heather), and Evan Favreau (Lauren); great grandchildren Colby, Chase and Cameron Ranger, Kaleb Orrok, Ryleigh, Josee, Dominic, Raven, Avalon and Chloe Favreau.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2002; son-in-law Clifford Davis; her parents Rupert and Clara; her brothers Quincy Thompson and Francis (Carey) Thompson; and her sisters Jackquelyn Clark and Margaret (Mardie) Edwards.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris with a time of visitation prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will be in the spring at Lakeside Cemetery in Bryant Pond.
