PARIS — Six weeks after being placed on administrative leave, Dawn Noyes has stepped down as town manager.
The parting was amicable, Chairman Christopher Summers said at Tuesday’s meeting.
The board placed her on administrative leave, effective Nov. 13.
“The town of Paris and Town Manager Dawn Noyes have amicably agreed to part ways,” he said. “We would like to thank Dawn for her dedication and service. We wish her nothing but well going forward. This is completely an amicable separation of the ways. We don’t know what she is up to, but we wish her the very best.”
Noyes began working for the town as a bookkeeper in 2017 and served as interim town manager for seven months before becoming town manager July 1, 2019.
Town Clerk Elizabeth Knox, who has been serving as interim town manager during Noyes’ absence, will continue in that role for the foreseeable future with the board’s support, Summers added.
In other business, the town’s roads escaped severe damage from the Dec. 18 wind and rainstorm. A culvert was replaced on Christian Ridge Road, and there were a few shoulder washouts.
“As far as damage, we were extremely lucky,” Knox said.
The board also approved the appointment of Ray Lussier to the Paris Utility District.
