LEWISTON — Police are investigating the death of a man found Saturday morning in the Walnut and Blake streets area, officials said.
Reports came in to dispatch just before 8:40 a.m. about an unresponsive male lying on the ground, said Lt. Derrick St. Laurent.
Emergency crews discovered
The 44-year-old man was deceased when emergency crews arrived. The body was transported to the Maine Office of Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, St. Laurent said.
The man’s identity is being withheld until his family is notified, he said.
The public is not believed to be in any danger.
