DEAR SUN SPOTS: In March 2023, Alyssa, a little girl who lives in Turner, was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. Since her diagnosis, her family has been surrounded by an incredible village of supporters, who have helped in so many ways to create memories that will last a lifetime, and we are grateful.
On Jan. 16, Alyssa will turn 10, which is a big celebration — double digits.
We are humbly asking for anyone who is interested in helping our warrior celebrate her 10th birthday to send her a card. Please include your name and town so she’ll know where your card came from.
All cards can be sent to her grandmother, Sheri, and she will deliver them to Alyssa on her birthday. The address is Alyssa Cole, C/O Sheri Hodgkin, 14 Mooselook Drive, Turner, ME, 04282 — Gretchen, no town
ANSWER: My heart goes out to this little girl and her family. Sun Spotters, please take a moment to send Alyssa sweet birthday wishes.
